You have all seen Lulu our Hula girl shaking it on the the roofs of our stands.
What you may not know is that Lulu's skirt is custom made out on Dan (Dad) Fortner's farm a couple times each summer. Since he was the one who engineered the mechanics of the moving hula skirt he continues to take pride in keeping her looking good.
What you see in the farm pictures is 7500 feet of weed eater string, streched out to uncurl a couple of days in the warm sun. Then the string is cut up into lengths and transformed into the beautiful sight you see at our three Springfield, MO locations and other events each summer.
In the string pictures you see Dan and his tractor stretching the string across the field. Son Chris is assisting in this operation. Chris and his brother Mike have operated the business for around 30 years.
